House in Connecticut

Except for the entryway and halls which are sand coloured, all the rooms of this Connecticut house are painted white. Then the fun begins by adding colour with fabrics and furniture and by painting the inside of the bookcase and the background of the butler's pantry in the kitchen. Interior designer Jason Bell explains that all the colours in this home were inspired by an old framed needlepoint which you can see in the first picture.



The brilliantly colored 6-by-3-foot needlepoint that says "Why Hurry? There's time enough for everything." inspired the palette for the house.

Inspiration house with great panoramic

down here are truly dream home design concept. Anchored to the mountain on the east, the elegantly simple form soars from the site, on the opposite side, it is supported only by an elevator tower and sheer wall, cantilevering the master bedroom above the Valley floor as the mountain drops away. The house has so amazing panoramic views that everybody could understand why some people climb the mountains. Floor-to-ceiling windows and the no-edge illusion of the pool extending the site make such views possible.

You can also creative your own house design with your concept. Free your mind with more dramatic ideas. Bulid your kitchen concept ideas and balance with wooden or steel furniture. Color comes from the fresh yellow of the kitchen area that peeks from behind the aptly detailed wall planes, and the primary color area carpets.

The living area of the house is accessed via elevator from the lower-level entry court or directly from the upper-level guest parking. The interiors, harmonized in neutral grays and metallic finishes, are free-flowing. 

Period House in Buckinghamshire

This house dates back to the 16th century and it is thought to be the oldest property on the street. It has an acre of landscaped garden and a giant yew tree that probably pre-dates the house itself. It is located in Buckinghamshire, only about half an hour from London by train.

Freelance TV director, Wendy Arnot and her husband Geoff say about it: ‘The house was fantastic: it had been so beautifully renovated by the previous owners we knew we wouldn’t have to do anything immediately, rather take our time making it our own.’ Geoff continues: ‘The garden, though, is what sold it to me: the owners had put so much time and money turning it into an oasis, separated into different zones, with a pond here, a pergola there; and dotted around are various outbuildings that we knew would come in handy.’

Renovations since moving in have been kept to a minimum: they’ve repaired original oak doors, widened the drive and added security gates, and built a small oak porch to the side entrance; they’ve also enhanced the bathroom.

White House in Denmark

This 10 year old house is near the town of Lemvig in Denmark. Dorte Svankjær and Klaus Bjerre live here with their five children. Klaus is a carpenter so he made most of the furniture. White and airy with a definite Nordic style. Come on in with me and take a look.

Rustic Summer House in Malaga

Dear readers, I'm back from my holidays in Chapadmalal but this doesn't mean my holidays stop here. Now we're in Buenos Aires for a few days, then we are going to New York and Washington DC for a week, then back to BA until February 6th when we go back to Brazil and then yes my holidays will be over (gotta love holidays!).

I promise I will do my best and post as often as possible. I'd like to thank you all for your lovely comments while I was away. I'll be visiting you right after I publish today's post.

Today's house is a soothing dream located in Malaga, Spain. It belongs to Dutch interior designer Madelon Verheu who used a soft palette and earth colours to make her dream summer home a relaxing place to enjoy with her family and friends.
